After government had invited students from Kothibagh Higher Secondary School to watch proceedings of the J&K Legislature, on Tuesday students from Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora are present in the house.

Welcoming the students, Speaker Kavinder Gupta informed the Assembly that Mass Communication students from IUST are present in the house and watching the proceedings.

On Monday, when the house was debating grants to education sector, over two dozen students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh Srinagar were present in the house. They spent over seven hours in the house since 10 AM yesterday.

The students had also met Speaker Kavinder on Tuesday wherein they discussed the parliamentary form of democracy.

The Speaker had said that ‘this experience’ will help the students in their career.

Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar, while winding up the debate on grants to the sector run by him, had said, “we need to take students out of classroom. Give them practical training as in case of these students who have come here to watch the proceedings.”
