SRINAGAR: Peoples Conference Chief Sajad Lone launched a sharp critique against National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, questioning the escalating trend of blaming alleged agency involvement in Kashmir’s politics.
Addressing reporters in Handwara after filing his nomination papers Lone said, “Omar should clarify who among his opponents isn’t supposedly linked to these agencies. The situation has become laughable with every Kashmiri accusing others of agency affiliations.”
He also urged Omar Abdullah to clarify who among the political figures is not connected to such agencies.
When asked about the recent bail granted to Engineer Rashid, Lone said. “The bail of Engineer Rashid is nothing extraordinary; thousands receive bail daily. It’s no longer a topic of significant discussion,” Lone remarked, downplaying its political relevance.
Regarding his party’s prospects in the forthcoming elections, Lone expressed optimism. “I have filed my nomination papers, and we are confident that the electorate will support us,” he said.
He added, “Despite the criticism directed at me, I feel supported by divine intervention, and I believe the people are starting to see the truth.”
