On the eve of celebrations of Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW) from 04th of May-2016 to 06th of May-2016 with following Friday on 13th May-2016 route plan for vehicles carrying devotees to Holy Shrine at Hazratbal is as under:

Route Plan

Route Plan for vehicles carrying devotees from North, South and central Kashmir is enunciated as under:

North Kashmir

Vehicles coming from North Kashmir carrying devotees after reaching Shaltang shall adopt the following route to reach Hazratbal, Shrine:

Shaltang – Parimpora – Bemina Bye Pass – Bemina Crossing – Qamarwari – Cement Bridge – Noorbagh – Sekidafar – Eidgah – Alimasjid – Sazgaripora – Hawal – Alamgari Bazar – Mill Stop – Molvi Stop (Lal Bazaar) – Botshah Mohallah – Kanitar – University Parking From Sir Syed Gate.

South Kashmir

Vehicles carrying devotees coming from South Kashmir after reaching Pantha Chowk shall adopt the following route to reach Hazratbal, Shrine.

Pantha Chowk – Stone Quarry (Athawajan) – Batwara – Sonwar Bazar – Ram Munshi Bagh- – Gupkar – Grand Palace – Zetiyar Ghat – Nishat – Foreshore Road – Habak Crossing – Naseem Bagh Parking.

Central Kashmir

Budgam Bound:

Vehicles carrying devotees coming from Budgam and adjoining areas shall adopt the following road to reach Hazratbal, Shrine:

Hyderpora – Tengpora – Bemina Bye Pass – Bemina Crossing – Qamarwari – Cement Bridge and Onwards.

Lal Chowk Bound

Lal Chowk – SRTC Bridge – Ikhwan Crossing – Police Station Khanyar – Bhori Kadal – Rajouri Kadal – Gojwari Chowk – Hawal – Alamgari Bazar – Mill Stop – Molvi Stop (Lal Bazaar) – Botshah Mohallah – Kanitar – University Parking.

Note: No vehicle shall be allowed along Rainawari-Hazratbal Route which shall be exclusively meant for the vehicles coming from Hazratbal Shrine towards different destinations.

Ganderbal Bound

Nagbal – Zakoora – Habbak – Naseem Bagh Parking.

Return Routes

North Kashmir:

North bound vehicles on return from Hazratbal Shrine shall adopt the following routes:

Dargah – Aishahibgh Crossing – Rainawari – Khalifapora – Peer Dastigeer Sahib – Khanyar – Sumkachbal – Police Station Khanyar – Nalamar Road – Qamarwari – Bemina Crossing – Batamaloo – Tangpora – Parimpora – Shaltang – And Onwards.

South Kashmir

South bound vehicles on return from Hazratbal Shrine shall adopt the following routes:-

Dargah – Ashia Bagh Crossing – Rainawari – Khalifapora – Nowpora Bridge – Khayyam Chowk (Right) – Ikhwan Crossing – SRTC Crossing (Left) – M.A Road – Dalgate – Sonwar – Pantha Chowk And Onwards.

Central Kashmir

Central Kashmir bound vehicles on return from Hazratbal Shrine shall adopt the following routes:

Budgam Bound:

Dargah – Ashai Bagh Crossing – Rainawari – Khalifapora – Peer Dastigeer Sahib – Khanyar – Sumkachbal – Police Station Khanyar – Nalamar Road – Qamarwari – Bemina Crossing – Batamaloo – Tengpora And Onwards.

Ganderbal Bound:

Habbak – Zakoora – Nagbal and Onwards.

Lal Chowk Bound

Dargah – Ashai Bagh Crossing – Rainawari – Khalifapora – Nowpora Bridge – Khayyam Chowk (Right) – Ikhwan Crossing – SRTC Crossing (Right) – Lal Chowk.

Parking Plan:

Elaborate parking arrangements have been made for all types of vehicles carrying devotees to the Holy Shrine inside the University Campus and Naseembagh. Commuters are advised to make judicious use of parking spaces available around the shrine to accommodate the maximum vehicles in a systematic manner.

For North/Central Kashmir Bound Vehicles

Inside University Campus from Sir Syed Gate side:

All North/Central Kashmir bound vehicles shall enter the campus from Sir Syed Gate and shall exit via Maulana Rumi Gate.

For South Kashmir Bound Vehicles

Inside Naseem Bagh University Campus from Habak Side:

The Vehicles shall enter the campus from Naseem Bagh gate and shall exit from the same gate.

Appeal to Holy Devotees

Drive through the prescribed route only.

Board/De-board buses at designated bus stops.

Park vehicles at earmarked spaces only.

Accommodate co-devotees en-route Holy Shrine and seek blessings.

Drive with patience & follow lane driving.

Avoid road rage.
