As J&K State Government had declared state holiday in view of the demise of CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Kashmir Life received scores of calls and messages from students asking whether there is any change in exams on Friday.

Kashmir Life contacted University of Kashmir Public Relations Officer (PRO) who said, “class work will resume as normal on Friday. “And all exams scheduled for tomorrow will be held according to the already issued date sheets.”

Giving similar information, Central University of Kashmir PRO said, “it was in the wake of CM Mufti’s death that CUK postponed its exams for Thursday, however, all exams and class work shall resume as routine from Friday.” “Students are asked not to pay heed to rumours,” he added.

When contacted, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr Shah Faesal said, “we have no exams scheduled for tomorrow.”
