Dismissing the rumours that it has postponed its exams scheduled for today, University of Kashmir (UoK) early Monday clarified that exams stand scheduled as notified earlier.
Kashmir Life received scores of calls asking about any changes in UoK exams to be held today. “Radio Kashmir @ 9:05 am announced that today’s exams are postponed,” a caller from South Kashmir’s Pulwama said asking whether it was true.
When contacted, Public Relations Officer UoK told Kashmir Life over phone, “we have clarified it on Sunday only that all exams scheduled for today (Monday) shall be held according to date sheets notified earlier and there is no change in that.”
The UoK PRO asked students not to pay heed to rumours. “Students are asked to follow official announcements from University authorities only and should not disturb themselves in such crucial times when they are writing their exams,” he said.
However, the PRO informed, “all exams scheduled for Tuesday (Dec 05) stand postponed keeping in view the holy festivities of Sikh community.”
The date sheet, he said, for the subjects whose exams were supposed to be held tomorrow shall be notified separately.
