Ahead of August 15 function, authorities late Thursday decided to impose restrictions in seven police stations of downtown Srinagar to avoid any law and order violation.
“To maintain law and order in the Srinagar city, restrictions will be imposed tomorrow on the movement of public and transport in the jurisdiction of police stations Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal and Maharaj Gunj, Maisuma,Kralkud,” said Farooq Ahmad Lone, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.
He said that the decision was taken during the high level meeting between the civil administration and top officials of the Police.
