Srinagar
Police on Wednesday detained a Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yasin Malik from his residence in Srinagar.
According to a spokesman, soon after the Fajr prayers a police party arrived at Malik’s Maisuma residence and detained him. He has been lodged at Kothibagh police station.
Earlier, Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik had appealed people to observe August 15, as black day.
