Government have decided not to allow Eid-ul-Azha prayers at TRC Ground Srinagar.
Eid-ul-Azha, the festival of sacrifices falls on September 2 (Saturday).
A Socio-religious organization had announced that it will organize Eid-ul-Azha congregational prayers at TRC Ground Srinagar.
An official from the office of the District Magistrate’s office said “in wake of the prevailing situation, Eid-ul-Azha congregational prayers will not be allowed at TRC Ground Srinagar”. He said that a formal order has been issued in this regard to concerned police station.
Confirming that Eid-ul-Azha congregational prayers at TRC Ground will not be allowed, a top police official said that the decision has been taken in wake of prevailing situation. “The government order is aimed at to maintain peace and order in the capital city,” he said. (CNS)
