Authorities Suspend Passport of Aga Syed Hassan Mosvi Citing ‘Security Threat’

   

SRINAGAR: The authorities have suspended the passport of Aga Syed Hassan Mosvi, President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharia Shian, citing “security threat” as the reason.

The Regional Passport Office Srinagar had informed Aga Hassan that his passport has been suspended under section 10(3XC) of the Passports Act 1967.

Aga Hassan told news agency KNS that he received the notice more than a month after it was issued, informing him of the suspension of his passport.

He mentioned that he had applied for a new passport in anticipation of a scheduled visit to a foreign country. However, today he learned through the notice that his passport has been suspended. (KNS)
