According to divisional commissioner, Kashmir, people living in snow bound areas of Gulmarg, Chowkibal and Tangdhar have been advised not to venture in steep avalanche prone slopes during the next 24 hours in view of the high danger of avalanches in these areas.
Accordingly, medium danger avalanche warning has been issued for next 24 hours for the snow bound areas of Uri, Nowgam, Keran, Machil, Bandipora, Gurez, Sonamarg, Drass and Kargil. People living in these snow bound areas have been advised not to venture in steep avalanche prone slopes.
