The Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee has finalized its arrangements to commemorate the 49th foundation day of the party.

As per a statement the AAC would organise seminars and hold meetings on district and central levels from June 20, 2013 so as to strengthen the party at grass root level.

“The foundation of AAC was laid by the Shaheed-e-Millat and his associates 49 years ago. The main aim of the party was to become the voice of the people and fight for the birth right of Kashmiris- right to self determination. Since then party is fighting for the rights of people and its leaders have even offered their precious lives for the cause,” committee said in a statement to a local news agency, KNS on Tuesday.

It further reads that the party would kick start to commemorate the foundation day on coming Thursday at APHC headquarters by organizing a seminar titled “Indo-Pak Friendship rooted in Kashmir issue”. Noted academicians, leaders and intellectuals would speak on the occasion.

The seminar would be presided over by the AAC head, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while as Mohammad Yousuf Shah, Mohammad Ahmad Shah would be chief guests on the occasion.

On June 21 which falls on Friday, a big rally would be organized at Jamia Masjid Srinagar to commemorate the foundation day of AAC.
