Awantipora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown on second consecutive day today on Friday to mourn the killing of two Hizb ul-Mujahideen militants.

Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is also off the roads.

Notably, two Hizb ul-Mujahideen militants identified as Adnan Ahmad Lone alias Uqaab, of Braw Bandina in Awantipora, and Adil Bilal Bhat alias Umair Al Hizbi of Malangpora in Pulwama were killed in Thursday in a  gunfight with government forces in Shaar Shali area of Khrew in Pampore town of south Kashmir.
