SRINAGAR: Top militant of Lashkar-i-Toiba Ayub Lalhari was killed in Pulwama, police sources confirmed.

Reports said that a Tavera vehicle that was moving around Banderpora in Pulwama was fired upon and it led to a killing. Though it is believed that the person who was killed in the action was Lelhari but the details are still not emerging.

State Police Chief confirmed the killing, on the twitter. He said Lelhari was district commander of Lashkar.A resident of Lelhar, the slain’s name was Mohammad Ayoub Lone.

Local residents said the vehicle was intercepted and it led to a very brief encounter. His corpse has been taken by the army with them, ten residents claimed. The claim was not immediately confirmed by the police.

Police sources said the militant was tracked in a vehicle and it led to an exchange in an encounter in the apple orchards in this village, not far away from Koil village.
