An official said that a fresh batch of pilgrims was not allowed to leave from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for the Holy cave due to a weather advisory and heavy rains in the Kashmir valley. “The Yatra remains suspended on the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam in the valley for the second consecutive day,” he said.

He added that overnight rains triggered fresh landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at Panthyal, Mehar, and other places in the Ramban district, blocking the Srinagar-Jammu highway.

Meanwhile, train services from Qazigund to Banihal railway track have been suspended due to waterlogging at Railway Station Hiller Anantnag. (KNO)
