Srinagar: Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir term the imposition of ban on the party as ‘unconstitutional’, ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unethical’.

The statement issued to press reads’; ‘ban imposing by Ministry of Home Affairs on JeI is ‘unconstitutional’, ‘undemocratic’ and ‘unethical’. It said the allegations levelled against the Jama’at are concocted and baseless. It further added, Jama’at will move to court and in this regards, deliberations are going on with legal experts.

‘Jama’at carries its activities peacefully which are transparent and visible. It works on a priority basis for the propagation of Islamic teachings, development of society and dignity of humanity’, the statement said.

Jama’at exhorts its cadre to remain disciplined and patient whatever the circumstances will be and be hopeful that Almighty Allah will ensure favourable and supportive atmosphere.
