Forces Tuesday cordoned parts of Kota Satri forest Belt in Bandipora district of northern Kashmir after Gun Shots were heard, Police sources said.
They said the search operation is underway and the details about the incident are awaited.
Earlier in the day, a militant was killed in an ambush at Akhoonpora Hartaar village that falls in Tarzoo belt on the Haigam crossing.
