SRINAGAR: The Bandipora-Gurez road, an essential transportation route connecting Gurez to the Kashmir Valley, has been closed by the administration following fresh snowfall at Razdan Top in Bandipora district.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora in an order said that Bandipora-Gurez road, shall remain closed for all types of vehicular movement, with immediate effect, till further orders.
So far, the extended dry spell in Kashmir has kept the Gurez valley connected by road with the rest of the valley, a closure that would usually occur in October. (KNO)
