Banks operating in J&K will remain closed on second and fourth Saturdays of every month from this month. The Banks, however, will work full-day on remaining Saturdays (1st & 3rd) instead of half days.
The pronouncement has been made following the receipt of communication to this effect from Indian Banks Association (IBA). The decision comes in the wake of an agreement reached between apex body of bank managements IBA and employee unions.
