Kashmir High Court Bar Association has supported the general shut down call given by The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) on Friday 12 October against the ongoing LPG crises.

“Bar Association is also going to contact the other social organizations/civil societies in this regard for taking future course of action,” Bar in a statement said.

The statement further said that the ongoing LPG crisis is a social issue as people are facing severe hardships due to the cap put on it’s supplies.

“Keeping in view the unique climatic condition of the Kashmir valley and other far flung areas of Jammu and Udhampur districts, the people need additional LPG supplies,” the statement added.

Bar Associations has requested to observe one day strike against the crisis being a social issue as the same effects the public at large.

The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) has called for a general strike on October 12 as a token of protest against the LPG cap and non-availability of cooking gas in the state.
