The Executive Committee of the J&K High Court Bar Association Srinagar, has condemned the killing of a civilian namely Parvaiz Ahmad Guroo on Wednesday in firing near an encounter site in Pulwama.

“Going by the spree of such civilian killings, it is imperative on United Nation, OIC and other peace loving countries and organizations of the world to intervene in Kashmir and impress upon India to stop the genocide of Kashmiris and to accede to their right of self-determination forthwith, as otherwise the blood bath of Kashmiris will continue unabatedly, with the people of the world watching the same, as mute spectators,” reads a statement released by Bashir Sidiq, general secretary, Bar association.

The statements also reads that a meeting a was held by the Bar association to discuss why Army personnel opened fire without any justification on unarmed civilian, who were protesting against the killing of a youth by Army, Special Operation Group of Police and CRPF personal.

Pertinently, an encounter between militants and government forces started late night Tuesday in Pulwama.
