A general body meeting was held in the High Court in the conference hall of the Bar Association, where rich tributes were paid to Majid Jahangir Advocate.
A spokesperson of the Bar, in a statement issued here said, “all the speakers, while paying rich tributes to Majid Jahangir explained the role played by him in highlighting the sufferings and miseries of the people of Kashmir.”
The statement said that in his capacity as Secretary of the Bar Association and as well as an Executive Member, Majid always impressed his colleagues by giving them appropriate advice and direction.
In a separate meeting all the Bar members also condoned the demise of Senior JKLF Activist Ghulam Rasool Hazari resident of Qazi Masjid Karfali Mohalla Habba Kadal Srinagar who passed away late Tuesday evening. Ghulam Rasool Hazari was the brother of Khazir Mohammad Hazari, President Stamp Vendors Association, Sadder Court Srinagar.
While expressing their grief on the sad demise of Ghulam Rasool Hazari, the Bar members prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace and give courage to the bereaved family members to bear the loss.
