Taking advantage of the curfew relaxation in civil lines area of the city, Kashmir high court bar association Thursday, managed a protest march condemning the hanging of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

Demanding to return the body of Mohammad Afzal Guru, who was hanged in Tijar jail on February 9, bar association Thursday took out a protest march. However, the large contingent of police and Para military forces did not allow the protesters to move towards Lal Chowk.

The protest march was led by the bar president, advocateAijaz Bedar who accused that Afzal’s hanging was a political decision.

The members of the Association took out the protests from Lower Court here. “We demand his (Afzal’s) body should be returned to his family for decent burial,” said Bar demanded.

The Bar members said the government of India’s decision to hang Afzal was a political. “They jumped the queue to hang Afzal,” they said.
