The aggrieved residents including women and children hit streets and blocked the road shouting slogans against Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to provide them with regular water supply.

The inhabitants alleged that the PHE employees have deliberately snapped the water from the locality which forced them to come to streets.

Residents of lane number 9-15 alleged that water is being supplied through water tankers. “We have to wait for water tankers and sometimes we consume tube well water. Such is our plight in 21st century”, said an elderly protester.

Locals further said that “15 days back officials visited here and said the issue will be resolved within few days but it continues.”

Agitating residents were demanding the immediate restoration of the problem.
