Residents of Lachampora in Batamaloo area staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the shortage of drinking water supply from the past few days.
The aggrieved residents including women and children hit streets and blocked the road shouting slogans against Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to provide them with regular water supply.
The protesting residents said that the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has failed to restore the water supply in the area.
The inhabitants alleged that the PHE employees have deliberately snapped the water from the locality which forced them to come to streets.
