Dozens of the members of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, a constituent of Hurriyat (g), Monday held a protest demonstration here against the slapping of draconian PSAs on Hurriyat activists and other youth.
The MKM members carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the administration and in favour of Azadi.
The protestors were led by MKM chairperson Yasmeen Raja.
Speaking on the occasion, Yasmeen said that dozens of Hurriyat activists and other youth have been detained under draconian PSA since Mufti took over as the ‘Puppet’ CM of the state.
“Battle of Ideas has turned a joke. People are been detained under draconian laws on flimsy grounds. Mufti has broken all the past records of oppression,” she said.
Yasmeen urged the international human rights organisations to take a strong note of the human rights violations in valley and impressed upon the international community to persuade India to implement the United Nations resolutions in Kashmir.
