Wildlife authorities in Wednesday claimed to have captured a bear in Lar area of Ganderbal district.
Locals had informed authorities of sighting two wild bear cubs in the areas, reports said.
After receiving information a cage was set up immediately, officials said, in which bear was trapped.
The bear was captured alive and shifted to a wildlife sanctuary, reports said.
The bear will be released in the safe woods, officials said.
