Another bear was captured in north Kashmir’s Handwara village on Thursday, wildlife authorities said.
Quoting reports news agency KINS said the bear was spotted in Haran Chogal village since yesterday night and in the meantime there was a hue and cry in the area.
An incharge wildlife officer for north Kashmir Mohammad Maqbool Baba said, “the bear was captured earlier today by a team at Chogal area of Handwara.
He said a bear was captured alive after being tranquilized. “The bear would be released in the higher reaches of the district”.
This is second time in a week Wildlife authorities captured a wild bear from Chogal area of north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
