SRINAGAR: A teenage girl was injured in a bear attack in Dhan Miran area of Kharappa, located in Loran block of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to official sources, as per Daily Excelsior report, the incident occurred near her residence when the bear suddenly attacked her. She sustained injuries and was initially taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Loran. From there, she was referred to the District Hospital in Poonch for further treatment.
Tazeem Akhter, 19, daughter of Ahmada Mir and a resident of Ward No. 6, panchayat Kharappa, received multiple injuries. The Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Poonch confirmed that she was treated for wounds on various parts of her body and is currently in stable condition.
