SRINAGAR: A bear mauled a woman to death in the Handwara area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
An official said that a 50-year-old woman was killed in a bear attack in the Mirpora Qalamabad area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
He said that Zareefa Begum, wife of Farooq Ahmad Khan was attacked by the wild animal while she was outside her home.
He said that Zareefa received serious injuries in the attack and later succumbed to her injuries. (KS)
