Hours after Jammu and Kashmir High Court issued a beef ban in the state, Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani called for state-wide protests after Friday prayers and called a complete shutdown on Saturday against the ban.
Terming the high court verdict “politically motivated” aimed at “creating communal tension”, Geelani quoted by Hurriyat (G) spokesperson appealed people to stage strong protests against the ban after Friday prayers and observe complete shutdown on Saturday.
