Ending all the speculations about the cabinet reshuffle on Monday, Ajay Sadhotra, M Akbar Lone, Chawdhary Mohammad Ramzan, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Nazir Gurezi, Mir Saifullah and Sajad Ahmad kitchloo of National Conference and Abdul Majid Wani, Waqar Rasool and G A Mir of Pradesh Congress took oath of the office as cabinet and ministers of state.
Seven members of the National Conference and three members of Pradesh congress took oath of the office and secrecy from the state governor, N N Vohra, in Jammu, at a simple ceremony.
Mohammad Akbar Lone, who was the speaker of legislative Assembly, will now be a cabinet minister. Ajay Sadhotra, a leading NC leader from Jammu has made a comeback in the state cabinet after eleven years. So has Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan who was a cabinet minister in the last NC government led by Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Mir Saifullah, Nazir Gurezi, Feroz Ahmad Khan and Sajad Ahmad Kitchloo from National Conference, while as Waqar Rasool and Abdul Majid Wani of congress are the new faces in the state cabinet. Wani was a junior minister in Mufti Sayeed led coalition government.
For the first time Gurez got representation in the council of ministers besides Zanskar and Banihal.
