Taking cognizance of complete show down in Baba Ghulam Shah Budshah University (BGBSU) Rajouri, Political Analyst in Chief Minister’s office, Wahid-Ur-Rehman Para has asked university administration to send the copy of action taken report to CM’s office in the reported scholarship scam.
Para, in a letter, has asked the Vice Chancellor of the varsity to probe the matter “in a transparent manner so that the true picture of the situation comes to light and to avoid student community from further suffering”.
After a scam surfaced in the BGSBU, police filed a case; however, sensing no apparent progress, the student community of the varsity is on complete strike for consecutive thirteen days now demanding action against the guilty.
The PDP youth president has impressed upon the varsity administration that the classrooms work should be started forthwith. “Priority is to get students back to business; it is not acceptable that the classroom is stopped for consecutive thirteen days,” he is reported to have told the administration.
More so, Para has reached out to the aggrieved students and has appealed them to resume classrooms work.
The students said that the varsity higher ups are involved in the scholarship scam. The scholarship was meant for students but some people in the varsity administration in connivance with bank officials have allegedly transferred the amount of such scholarships in fake accounts.
Para, in his letter while quoting students writes, “the students are demanding fresh probe, removal of tainted officers of the varsity, complete audit of accounts and scholarship scam.”
