Poignant scenes were witnessed on Tuesday when the body of a civilian was lifted for the final resting place in Bidoora Achabal area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
The dead body of a civilian identified as Nasir Ahmed was recovered in Bidoora Achabal day after an encounter which ended up with the killing of one militant, a major rank army officer. besides two killings, three soldiers were also injured.
Hundreds of the mourners including men, women and children took part in the funeral prayers of the civilian today. Nasir was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Bidoora.
