The special meeting of the Board of Directors of Big-GK, J&K Corporate Premier League(CPL) was held at Peerzo Island Restaurant Saturday where executive directors were assigned their individual roles.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman and Managing Director of the league, Farooq Amin.
Giving details, spokesperson of the league, Sheikh Imran said that meet was held prior to the inauguration of the event that is scheduled to start from July 3 and in it some crucial decision were made.
“The board meet was part of series of the meetings that we will be holding prior to the inauguration of the event on July 3,” he said.
In the board meet budgeting of the league was done and role of CMD, Executive Directors was decided.
The meeting was also attended by general secretary of league Qayoom Bagaw and special invitee Chartered Accountant of AHM, Altaf Hussain was appointed as secretary to board and he will be handling all the affairs in concerning the balance sheet and audit of accounts.
The board appointed Executive Directors, Hilal Rather and Waseem Tramboo as the incharge of Jammu Province and Kashmir Province affairs respectively.
“It was one of the making decisions that were made during meet. Both the directors have been assigned important role of handling provincial affairs,” Imran said.
The meeting also assigned the individual roles to all the Executive Directors. Director Legal, Asif Burza, Director Finance, Reyaz Panjara, Director Technical and Purchases, Hamid Mufti, Mujeeb Tramboo on behalf of Director Logistics, Haseeb Tramboo, Director Marketing and PR, Sheikh Imran, Director Hospitality and Protocol Suhail Ahmad were assigned charge of their roles.
Among other decisions that were made in the meet are to appoint Ranjeet Kalra as media advisor. The Board of Directors also gave nod to employ permanent employees for the league. The special budget was also allocated for Director Legal and for media and publicity related things to Shiekh Imran.
“It was decided that in addition to the powers of individual directors, CMD will also be eligible to take decisions. However after certain level decision of board headed by CMD would be final,” said Imran.
“We have too many plans for the league and it is bound to get even bigger than what our cricketers have seen so far in the State. Come July 3 we will show all the cricket enthusiasts of the State what we have formed and what is the future of cricket in the State,” Imran added.
