Bihar Woman Rescued from Human Trafficking in Kashmir: Police

   

SRINAGAR: A lady from Bihar who had become a victim of human trafficking has been rescued in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said here.

An official said that Bandipora police rescued a lady victim of human trafficking belonging to Bihar, illegally sold to one person namely Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Banyari Ajas.

He said that that cognizance has been taken under the relevant sections of law in PS Sumbal.

‘Bandipora police rescued a lady victim of human trafficking belonging to Bihar, illegally sold to one person namely Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh S/o Nazir Ahmad R/o Banyari Ajas. Cognizance taken under the relevant sections of law in PS Sumbal.” Bandipora police said in a post on ‘X’.
