SRINAGAR: An assistant sub-inspector of Police who was shot at by unknown gunmen in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag district on Wednesday evening, succumbed on way to the hospital, officials said.
Quoting an official the news agency KNO reported that an ASI of Jammu and Kashmir police was shot at by suspected militants near SDH Bijbehara on Wednesday evening. He was shifted to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The slain has been identified as ASI identified as Muhammad Ashraf of Awantipora had received four bullet injuries
