SRINAGAR: A bike rider and a pillion rider were injured in a road accident in the Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday afternoon.
An official stated that a bike bearing registration No JK03K/7489 and a Bolero bearing registration No JK01AJ/1285 were involved in the accident at Dandipora, Anantnag.
During the incident, the bike rider, Yawar Yaseen Bhat, son of Mohd Yaseen Bhat, and the pillion rider, Zubair Yaseen Dar, son of Muhammad Yaseen Dar, both residents of Shoul Wanpora Batengoo, sustained injuries.
Local residents promptly shifted both individuals to SDH Kokernag for treatment, according to the official.
In the meantime, the police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (KS)
