SRINAGAR: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Jammu and Kashmir MLA Shagun Parihar as national vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the party’s youth wing.

Parihar represents the Kishtwar Assembly constituency in Jammu and Kashmir. Her appointment places her in a key national organisational position within the BJYM.
She is the daughter of late RSS leader Ajit Parihar and has emerged as a prominent young leader in the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.
The appointment comes as part of the party’s organisational changes within its youth wing, bringing a Jammu and Kashmir legislator into its national leadership structure.
