SRINAGAR: Senior National Conference Leader and Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra said that BJP Government has utterly failed to protect J&K Cadres JKAS/JKPS/IAS/IPS Officers.

Former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotrawith new entrants at DurgoChak in Marh Block.

“Posting of various officers from different central services and IAS, has sent a wrong signal down below and it is being taken as an attempt to marginalize JK Cadre Officers,” said Ajay Kumar Sadhotra Former Minister and  Senior Leader Jammu and Kashmir National Conference while addressing National Conference Workers meeting at DurgoChak in Marh Block.

He said already KAS/ KPS Officers have been badly hurt as their induction IAS/IPS quota has been curtailed from 50%to 33%.

“It is unfortunate BJP in power never spoke in support of JK Cadre Officers,” he said, adding that there is no match to J&K Cadre JKAS/JKPS/IAS/IPS Officers they have fought militancy bravely and have all long experience at their back to handle  J&K affairs.

“Instead of encouraging them, they are being discouraged. New entrants are new to the state, they will take 2-3 years to understand and by the time they will understand they will be sent back. It will create chaos & confusion, resulting in common man will suffer immensely,” he said.

Sadhotra said there is a heart burning among Cadre and there is a strong feeling that their promotions avenues have been blocked and they are been ignored and sidelined.

“They are feeling insecure helpless. Transfer of senior-most JK Cadre IAS Officer to Ladakh has further created a sense of insecurity,” said Sadhotra in a statement.

He said better would have been to promote state cadre JKAS/JKPS/IAS/IPS Officers as a special case so that they could serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir in a better way. Already people of Jammu & Kashmir are feeling disconnect it will further alienate the common people.

He urged the Govt not to make J&K Laboratory of IAS and allied services by making new experiments instead State cadre should be encouraged and given a sense of belonging so that Jammu and Kashmir could be brought out of present chaos.

In the meeting many BJP workers joined National Conference, Sadhotra welcomed new entrants. Parent and Youth Committee of DurgoChak was also constituted.

“Others who spoke in the meeting are Ghar Singh Corporator, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Rattan Lal, Chintu Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Nisha Kumari, Sahil Thappa, Jagdish Raj, Ankush Kumar, Shubam Kumar,” said Sadhotra in a statement.
