SRINAGAR: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that the BJP will secure all parliamentary seats in Jammu and Kashmir.

He was addressing an election rally in the Basholi area of Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh asserted that the BJP has fulfilled all promises made to the country’s people. He highlighted the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the construction of the Ram Mandir, in line with the party’s election manifesto.

Without explicitly naming any neighboring country, Singh emphasised that India will not hesitate to strike across the border if necessary. He stated India’s capability to strike both from its own territory and across the Line of Control, underscoring the nation’s formidable military strength under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Seeking votes for BJP candidate Dr Jitendera Singh for the Udhampur parliamentary seat, Singh criticised opposition political parties, including the Congress, National Conference, and PDP, for their loss of credibility among the common people.

The Udhampur Lok Sabha seat is scheduled for polls on April 19, with the main contest expected between the BJP’s Jitendra Singh and Lal Singh from the Congress party. [KNT]
