SRINAGAR: A day after Pakistan endorsed the Gupkar Declaration, the BJP stepped up its attack on its arch-rival Congress for, what it alleged, was playing into the hands of the enemy for petty political gains, reported The Tribune.
Ravinder Raina, president of J&K BJP told The Tribune the issue was discussed at today’s executive committee meeting of the party and all members were unanimous that Pakistan had played an important role in drafting this declaration.
“Kashmir-centric parties like the NC and PDP are infamous for toeing the line of Pakistan, but it is really surprising that the Congress is also playing into the hands of the enemy nation by joining those pursuing the anti-national agenda”, Raina said, adding that, “after Pakistan’s endorsement of Gupkar Declaration, the Congress has to clear its stand on this issue”.
