400 blood pints were collected throughout the day at the camp, which was organized by the NGO in collaboration with the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).

Abid Hussain Dar, one of the members of Salute 72, said that the NGO has been named after the 72 Karbala martyrs. “We have been organizing the blood domination camp with an aim to save precious lives. We were able to collect 400 pints of blood throughout the day.”

Dr Sahil Hassan from SKIMS, Soura, said this Ashura gives them an opportunity to serve humanity. “Every blood donor is a lifesaver. Besides, the blood donation makes the regular donor’s health good as well,” he said. (KNO)
