Board of Governors Meet: CM Emphasises MICE Tourism, Self-Reliance

   

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC).

According to a post by the Chief Minister’s Office on X, the meeting focused on promoting Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism, along with cultural events.

“The Chief Minister chaired the Board of Governors meeting of SKICC today. Emphasis was laid on promoting MICE tourism and cultural events, while working towards making SKICC financially self-sufficient and no longer dependent on the public exchequer. Plans for infrastructure upgrades and wider outreach were also discussed,” the post reads.
