SRINAGAR: The bodies of three civilians, who had gone missing from the upper reaches of Billawar in Kathua district, have been recovered by security forces using drone surveillance.
While authorities have not officially confirmed a militant link, the deaths have raised tensions in the region. The matter had been highlighted in the legislative assembly yesterday by MLA Billawar, Satish Kumar, who had raised concerns over the missing persons.
A senior police official stated that it is too early to determine the cause of death but confirmed that the bodies were found near a nallah in the upper reaches of Billawar.
Investigations are ongoing. (KNT)
