The body of a drowned Baramulla youth fished out from a dam in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said that body of the youth was fished out from a dam at Uri power project, the second phase in the district.
The youth had drowned in Jehlum on Sunday when he was taking a bath in the river.
Soon after retrieval, the body was taken to Sub District hospital Uri where the deceased has been identified as Momin Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmed of Jallsheeri, the news agency GNS quoted reports as having said.
A police official has confirmed the retrieval of the body and said that after legal formalities, the body will be handed over to the family for last rites.
