SRINAGAR: The body of a man who had been missing for the last 20 days was retrieved from the Jhelum River in the Safa Kadal area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday afternoon.
A police official informed the news agency Kashmir Scroll that an unidentified decomposed body was recovered from the Jhelum in Safa Kadal.
He stated that the police took custody of the body, after which it was identified as that of Basharat Ah Bhat, son of the late Ali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Naid Kadal Srinagar.
He further added that additional investigation regarding this matter has been initiated.
