SRINAGAR: The body of a man from Pampore was discovered near the riverbanks in the Nowgam area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that the body was spotted by passersby, who promptly informed the police.
He added that a police team arrived at the scene and took the body into custody. The deceased was identified as Mudasir Ashraf Dar, son of Mohammad Ashraf Dar, from Namblabal, Pampore.
Investigations into the matter have been initiated, the official said. (KNO)
