SRINAGAR: To benefit the general investors of Srinagar, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) organised the Regional Investor Seminar for Awareness (RISA) on Thursday in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and JK Bank at the Bank’s corporate headquarters in Srinagar. Officials from SEBI, the BSE, Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL), and the Bank attended the seminar.

Speaking at the event, Manager (SEBI) Kunal Kishore explained the role of SEBI in the functioning of the Securities Market, while Senior Manager (BSE) Jasdeep Singh elaborated on Savings and Investments and the workings of the Securities Market. Senior Manager (CDSL) Mukesh Chauhan educated the participants about depository services and the importance of Demat accounts.

The program received positive feedback with a good number of participants in attendance and concluded with a Question and Answer session, during which SEBI, CDSL, and BSE officials addressed the queries of the participants.

Two more seminars of this nature will be conducted in Baramulla and Kupwara on Friday and Saturday respectively.
