Boy arrested in Ganderbal was on way to join Zakir Musa party, says police

The Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested a youth before he could have joined the Zakir Moosa led ‘Ansar Gazwat ul hind’ in Ganderbal district on Tuesday.

The boy (Name withheld) from Rainawari area of the old city was arrested early Tuesday morning at Qamria chowk in Ganderbal.Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmed Lone, while confirming the arrest said that the boy was being tracked as he was in contact through social media with Pakistani militants who are under surveillance.

“We were tracking his moment and nabbed him early morning on Tuesday at Qamaria chowk Ganderbal, Upon questioning he confessed that he was on way to join Ansar Gazwat ul Hind,” Lone said.

After ‘counselling we handed him to his parents’. he added.
