A minor boy died while nine others were injured in different road accidents while a labourer was found dead in district Leh last evening, police said Wednesday afternoon.
In Kupwara, a Load Carrier bearing registration number JK09-8837 hit and injured a 10 years old boy Mohammad Asif Mochi son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Sulkote at Sulkote. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
In Awantipora, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-8328 collided with Swift car bearing registration number JK03E-4449 near Kadalabal Pampore, resulting in injuries to 02 passengers. Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Swift car bearing registration number JK13C-1500 turned turtle at Check Rajpora, resulting in injuries to 02 persons. Both the injured were shifted SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment.
In Baramulla, a Bus bearing registration number JK01D-5566 turned turtle near Taper Crossing Kreeri, resulting in injuries to five passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Kreeri for treatment. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.
Police said that it recovered a body of a labourer identified as Chatoo Bihari resident of Jadhkhan Dumka CPL number 47251 in his Tent at Himya 111RCC, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nyoma. Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard to ascertain the cause of his death.
